Paul Lambert holds a BEng (Hons) for Computer Science from Imperial College, London. After graduation, he joined Barclays Bank as part of their management development program. He spent five years working in all areas of the bank, including personal lending, corporate lending, real estate lending, investment banking, and IT. While in IT, he worked on a small team to introduce machine learning via neural networks into the bank’s lending practices for both personal and corporate lending.

In 1998, Paul left the financial sector to start up his own IT consultancy, which he did for four years before joining the Healthcare sector with AstraZeneca, based in the UK. At AstraZeneca, he was head of application architecture, refining their 2000+ applications and trying to reduce and integrate them.

Paul left AstraZeneca in 2006, and moved with his family to Basel, Switzerland to join Roche Pharma as the Global Head of Application Architecture. He was promoted to Roche Pharma Chief Architect in 2008, and worked as part of a team on the IT integration with Genentech.

In 2011, Paul moved to Roche Diagnostics based in Basel, and established the business intelligence, collaboration and integration IT groups. A year later, he moved to become the Global Head for Marketing, Sales & Service solutions, supporting all the internal marketing, sales and support staff. He oversaw the key strategic move from MS Dynamics to globally.

In April 2015, Paul moved from Basel to Indianapolis as the VP of Commercial IT, reporting to Jack Phillips. He has a team of 80 people throughout the US and is responsible for IT products Roche sells to customers in the franchise areas of point of care, core lab, tissue diagnostics and molecular diagnostics.
